INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE PREPARATION OF POSTER PRESENTATIONS
Contributors are responsible for printing and providing their own posters for display at the congress
Poster Size: 70cm WIDE x 100cm HEIGHT (portrait oriented layout) to fit on the display board.
Allocate the top of the poster for the title and authors as stated on the submitted abstract.
Posters should be clear and easy to read. The text, illustrations, etc should be bold enough to be read from a distance of two meters (six feet).
Tacks or tape and technical equipment will be available for the hanging of posters.
Two poster sessions are scheduled during the lunch and coffee breaks on Monday July 1 (Poster Session 1) and Tuesday July 2, 2013 (Poster Session 2).
A poster number is assigned to each accepted abstract and will be announced to the presenting author, along with the day of presentation.
The presenting author is required to be present during the designated poster session (see Final Program for timing).
Poster presenters are responsible for setting up and removing their own poster. Posters should be set up before 9:00 of the display day and removed by 18:15.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE PREPARATION OF ORAL PRESENTATIONS
If using a PowerPoint presentation, please note you need to bring it on a Memory stick (using the USB port in the computer) and load it at least 1 hour before the start of the session.
Please note that the conference computers in the session halls are being supplied with Office 2010.
Please also note that no audio-video will be supported by the system. You can display videos without any audio.
If combining a video with PowerPoint, please make sure to check it in the session hall where your lecture is taking place during a coffee or lunch break prior to your session, at least 30 minutes before the start of the session - even after checking it in the Slide Room.
In the case you need to use your own laptop computer, please confirm that it has a VGA socket for external signal and come to check it first as soon as possible in the session hall where your lecture is taking place (during the coffee or lunch break prior to your session) at least 30 minutes before the start of the session.
Important note for Macintosh users
In order to use MAC presentations on a PC compatible computer please note that you need to prepare it according to the instructions below:
1. Use a common font, such as Arial, Times New Roman, Verdana etc. (special fonts might be changed to a default font on a PowerPoint based PC).
2. Insert pictures as JPG files (and not TIF, PNG or PICT - these images will not be visible on a PowerPoint based PC ).
3. Use a common movie format, such as AVI and WMV (MOV files from QuickTime will not be visible on a PowerPoint based PC).
Alternatively you may use your own Macintosh laptop computer. In such a case please provide it with a VGA adaptor for external signal and come to check it first in the Slide Room as soon as you arrive and later on in the session hall where your lecture is taking place during the coffee or lunch break prior to your session, at least 30 minutes before the start of the session.
Please note that VHS Video projection and Overhead projection (projection of transparencies) will not be available.
